Millie joined the staff of Southwestern Area Health Education Center (SW AHEC) in the capacity of Community Outreach Worker in September of 2006. She is actively involved in the implementation of the Immunization Action Plan Program for the agency, and providing data support for the Connecticut Immunization Registry and Tracking System (CIRTS).
She has extensive experience working with multicultural and diverse populations in the Greater Bridgeport community in the areas of mutual housing, education, parenting and parent leadership, and as a Notary Public and a Justice of the Peace. In 2005, she was awarded the “Chicken Soup” Award from the Mutual Housing Association of Southwestern Connecticut (MHASWCT). She serves as a Parent Leader for the Bridgeport Child Advocacy Coalition, Secretarial Correspondent for the Executive Board of the Parent Leadership Training Institute, and is a Community Representative for the Executive District Parent Advisory Council.
She graduated the University of Puerto Rico with a Cum Laude, and received an A.A. degree in Secretarial Science, and attended Goodwin College for business applications.
Millie is a proud mother of a daughter and five sons.
