Description
As of the spring of 2007, more than 400,000 CT residents -- 13% of the state -- are uninsured. The statewide campaign for universal health care is a grassroots effort that promotes passage of a bill that will cover everyone, be continuous, be affordable to the individual or family and to the state, and promote personal health and well-being. Through a grant from the Universal Health Care Foundation of CT, Southwestern AHEC is actively involved in supporting this campaign in New Haven and Fairfield counties.
